So Keith McMillen Instruments, the really innovative company that’s brought out some great live performance controllers such as the Softstep, the 12 Step and the K-Bow is introducing the QuNeo this spring. The QuNeo is about the size of an ipad but, like the Softstep, it’s pads will be pressure, velocity and X-Y location sensitive to make it a particularly responsive instrument. While it will synch with applications like Ableton, it will be open source allowing you to get in there and adjust LEDs, parameters etc. They are funding it through a Kickstarter campaign that will end on January 9.
